NaNoWriMo?

Because I'm sure that we're all not doing enough in the way of work and writing, I have to ask if anyone else besides myself is taking on NaNoWriMo next month?

This'll be my first year doing it, and I'm using it as an excuse to get one of the "personal graphic novels" down on paper in some form (completed)

Anyone else?

My girlfriend is doing it.

She's already been to a few workshops (which are really more for helping you prep and motivate), so she's super excited for it!

Nah. First drafts have never been my problem; I don't need this sort of encouragement to get a rough version down. 

I need help with the drafting marathon.

I attempted it two years ago, got about 5,000 words in, and then remembered why I don't do long-form writing (or reading). My attention span's too short.

I did it in '05. (The 50K word novel I wrote eventually became just the first issue of Orphans. I even replicated a few phrases from the novel in my panel descriptions, completely unconsciously. Some stories just will not die.)

Of course, I was unemployed and unattached at the time. I do not know how Rantz does it. I just like sleep too damn much, I guess.
